We generally don't like warnings as they restrict us in some way. Yet we need to be on guard for certain things, especially here, east of Eden. Genesis 4:1-16 serves to warn us in two ways of the ongoing work of the serpent from the Garden lest we give ourselves to serpentine thinking.
