What is true Christianity? Both inside and outside of the church, there’s confusion on how to answer this question. “True religion is a union of the soul to God,” wrote 17th-century minister Henry Scougal, and in John 15, Jesus uses the metaphor of a vineyard to illustrate this living and abiding union.
